Recently updated! This is our direct ocean front three bedroom / two bath flat. You enter on the first floor and won't need to worry about climbing stairs. This makes your stay more convenient without the need to carry beach equipment up and down stairs. The unit has enough to sleep seven. It is furnished with a king in the master suite, king in second room, Twin bunkbeds with single twin in our third bedroom (additional chairs in closet). Does not accept reservations for less than a week. Tile floors throughout which makes it cool for summer and easy clean up from sand. At Summerhouse we have 4 temperature regulated pools to choose from on property making it comfortable to swim all year round! There are also four tennis courts, two racquetball courts and one pickleball court. We have two grilling areas and two playgrounds for the kids conveniently located at either end of the property. Our common area around the pools are covered with luscious well-maintained grass with a short walk to the beach. Our rental unit has a friendly front office staff and maintenance on site to help resolve any problem quickly if they should arise. We have a small library and a gym available during normal business hours for your convenience.

"As always, our stay at Summerhouse was amazing. We didn't want to leave. The front office staff this year were top notch. They were all very pleasant and courteous. My family love unit will always be the unit of choice for our family. 252 isn't fancy but if you have kids, it is perfect. The location is one of the best I believe. I would definately recommend it to others.

Stone vacation

"We had a good experience other than finding a snake in my husbands shoe after he took it off and left them in the bedroom for about an hour and our two year old grandson went to put his foot in them and said “ewe”. Yep, there was the snake sitting there looking out at us!!! Needless to say, I did not sleep that night waiting for his siblings and mom to show up next. The home itself was good except the bed in first bedroom is SO hard that it felt the same as sleeping on the floor. The keys that we were given were very hard to unlock the door with and we learned that you had to continually wiggle it until it would finally open. (It took about 7 to 10 wiggles) We did like the convenience of the end unit of course. I’m not sure that we would rent that unit again though.

"My family made a lot of great memories this year at Summerhouse. My children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren all love Summerhouse and unit 252. The only things I could complain about were minor. I had asked for early check-in because both my husband and I are in our mid to late 70's and always arrive early but that didn't occur even though I was willing to pay the 50.00 fee. I had requested it in 2024 when I rebooked and again when I paid my rental in March. It was still 4:00 pm before we got in. Our cleaning crew of three adults took two hours to clean our unit and still did not place a fitted sheet on our master bed. The appliances need to be replaced in the kitchen . The stove oven will burn your food on the bottom and the top will still be raw. We did have issues with the fridge not getting cold then all of a sudden went back to working. But I did see the owner had done a lot of improvements from our 2024 visit, so like I said just minor inconveniences nothing major. We definitely had a great time.

Annual family reunion

"We always enjoy being at Summerhouse and we have rented this same unit for a number of years. Can’t beat the location and view..this year we had some nice updates like new paint and some new furniture. However, the bathrooms and kitchen are dated. Maybe that’s coming in the future?

"The unit we stayed in had just been updated and the sliding glass door works perfectly! The unit was spotless and the view, as always, was gorgeous! We love going down to the bridge and inlet waters also and got to see a manatee, stingray, and sea turtle while exploring there! We cook dinners, but also enjoyed some delicious seafood at three local restaurants as well. The office staff was extremely polite and helpful! Cant wait to stay again!

"Summerhouse is a great location with very friendly people. Beautiful beach. Unit 252 needs a complete update! The master bathroom has a strong odor of urine! Bathroom faucets spray all over the place. Beds need new pillows. The sliding glass door is extremely difficult to open. My 8 and 9 year old grandchildren were unable to open. I feel this is a fire hazard! The screen door also needs replaced or at least new rollers.The electric grill doesn’t work. I have rented this unit for 3 years now and these are the same issues I have put on my survey, with no improvements.

Great location, Condo needs some work

"The property was as expected from what we saw in the pictures and read from the reviews. The location of the condo is perfect for getting to the beach.
The condo could use some improvements. The bathrooms are old and dingy. Neither bathroom had a working lock, which I've seen in other reviews and am surprised such an easy fix has not been made. The sliding back door is very difficult to open.
On our last morning we went for a walk on the beach and came back to find that our code to get back in the gate was turned off. We were locked out. This is unacceptable. If you pay to have the unit until 10am then your beach code should work until then.

"We loved our unit . The only problems were with the sliding glass door. If you were outside you couldn't open it to get back in the unit . We had to leave a small crack to get out hand through to be able to open it . The other issue was the master bathroom door would not lock. Other than those two things we loved our unit 252.

"We have stayed at Summerhouse many times and unit 252 is one of the nicest units we've rented. The unit was clean, spacious, and the beds comfortable, which is a priority for us. While unit 252 very nice and we'll try to stay there again, Summerhouse, as a property, is looking a little dated ... could use a some freshening up.

"My family enjoyed our stay in unit 252. We had a few things that need attention . The sliding door was very hard to open, maintenance came and oiled it , that didn't help ,the guy said the track and wheels needed to be replaced to correct the problem. The oven in the stove needs some work , we tried to bake cookies and biscuits and they would brown on the top like they were done and be raw in the middle and bottom , probably just the element needs replacing .We did see a few roaches in the kitchen area not a lot , the hall bathroom door would not lock , so we had to keep a watch when someone went in to shower. All in All our stay was great , with the exception of the pool in our area being closed for maintenance , which does happen and can't be helped . Things happen. Summerhouse has a great location and has always been family oriented . The front office staff could use more training in the customer service area . But after speaking with the GM and being told we were not the only ones who had problems in that area , I feel that issue will be addressed by the management and quickly.

Family reunion

"We have been coming to summerhouse for many years. We’ve stayed in 252 many times as well. I felt the unit was not as clean as it could be and not sure what Covid cleaning was because it didn’t appear to be much. I brought my own cleaning supplies. The sliding glass door is very difficult to open. The vacuum cleaner does not work. Kitchen need hot pads and several plastic bowls had cracks in them. We love the location of the unit and have reserved again for next. Just wish these few things were fixed.

"Our stay was overall good. We had a few issues , Firstly Sandy in the office was rude to almost all our family upon check in. We were not told of the changes to check in before we arrived, so everyone stopped to check in and get our parking passes, she acted like she was just put upon to get up and let us know the procedure had changed . We had the fan go out on our a.c. but it was repaired in a matter of hours , so not to bad , then in the middle of the night the electricty went off from around 2:30 a.m. until around 12:00 or 1:00 that day we were miserable until we could get up and get the kids outside. We had asked for the bushes in front to be trimmed a little bit last year when we left , since we are paying for an ocean view and would like to sit on our patio and watch the ocean , that did not happen . Other than those things everything was good the unit was in great shape and well supplied . The owners of the unit do a great job in keeping it maintained .

Winter loveliness

"We visited for 9 days over Christmas, leaving on New Years day. The unit was in great shape, and clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and the 3bed/2bath layout works well for sharing with family! Very happy to see several good quality patio chairs. Dining table seats 8 which is nice, and the living room furniture is very comfy and the TV is huge! Proximity to pool is a big plus. :)

"Highly recommend , vacation condos(#252,#258) are very clean, roomy,two bathrooms in each, hide a bed in couches(lots of sleeping areas) , plenty of plates,cups, pots,and pans, etc. Pools are heated, and beach only steps away.And most importantly condos were inexpensive. I'm telling you cheaper than a hotel room for 7 days. Family of 10 including my husband and I , was from California and with two condos it was perfect accommodations. Staff was very friendly. This will be our go too every other year. A Blast ��

Can't see the beach

"We love Summerhouse but we are having trouble with not being able to see the beach from our beach front condo. I had the same problem but got it resolved but this year no one would listen even though I spoke with the EPA and the county. I also gave them information of who to contact with the EPA to resolve this for the future. The reason we pay more to have a beach front condo is so we can see the beach but the vegetation keeps that from happening. This has been give to the manager so that all the condos on the beach will have a clear view. Hopefully they will do something about it because there is no reason not to according to the EPA. It is a shame that they don't just handle this instead of the customer having to do this and follow up themselves.

2019 Harvey Family Vacation

"We loved our ocean front unit 252. The only downside was the bushes in front was blocking the view of the ocean from the patio unless you were standing up. The whole point of ocean front is the view of the beach and ocean . I am a morning person and love to have my coffee and watch the sun rise over the ocean . Having to standup was definitely not a good expierence . We did ask to have the bushes slightly trimmed to allow us to see the view and it never happened . Other than that our stay was definitely enjoyable. WE love Summerhouse and have been coming for about 30 years.
